About the Role
A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Slough is seeking a passionate and creative Teacher of Drama, with the opportunity to also teach Music, to join its vibrant Performing Arts department from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students through high-quality teaching, fostering creativity, confidence, and performance skills across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential involvement at Key Stage 5.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and dynamic Drama lessons that inspire creativity and participation
- Teach Music (depending on experience and specialism), contributing to a broad and balanced performing arts curriculum
- Support and lead extracurricular activities, such as school productions, performances, and clubs
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support achievement
- Contribute to the development of the Performing Arts curriculum
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
- Have experience teaching Drama in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Have the ability or willingness to teach Music
- Be passionate about the performing arts and committed to student success
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
