Job Description:
Our client provides complete solutions for their customers installation project plans and they have an excellent opportunity for someone to join their team as a van driver and installer of hardware devices within their customer estates.
Please note that in addition to the salary shown and overtime pay there is a generous subsistence allowance, shown below.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Based within the Installations, Moves and Changes (IMAC) team you will be responsible for the installation, removal, and relocation of hardware devices in branches and at remote customer sites. Typically you will work as part of a team within an assigned geographical area.
- You will support the day-to-day business carrying goods from the distribution centre all over Ireland but you will be based in the Dublin area.
- You will be responsible for completing deliveries, assisting with loading and unloading the van, helping the installation team carry out basic skilled work, and being responsible for the safe deployment of goods to customer sites.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally you will have similar experience within a driving role and are able to maintain concentration for long periods as you will be driving independently for the majority of the working day.
- This position will also involve the completion of delivery reports and keeping log books maintained therefore you will need to be articulate, have a good level of accuracy and excellent customer service skills for dealing with clients.
- For this role, you will need to hold a Full Class C driving licence, and due to company insurance, you must be over the age of 25 and have held your licence for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 3 points.
- As you will be required to assist with loading and unloading, you will need to be able to lift up to 25kg with assistance and ensure that the goods are safely secured in transit.
- For C license holders the starting salary is 38,000 euros.
Working Hours:
- The working hours are 40 hours per week, and overtime is available.
- The start times are flexible, between 6am and 8am depending on location each day. On occasion, when a project requires out of hours installation, you may be required to work late and through the night. These are not regular and you would be compensated with time 1/2 pay for these shifts worked.
- Working as part of a 2 person crew.
Benefits:
- This role has a subsistence payment. You can claim 39.08 if you are away from the depot for 10 hrs or more , and if you are away from the depot for 5 hrs or more you can claim 16.29.
