Driver / Warehouse Technician – Uxbridge
Our client, a well-established and respected specialist equipment supplier based in Uxbridge, is seeking a reliable and motivated Driver / Warehouse Technician to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining driving responsibilities with hands-on warehouse operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and delivery of equipment while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
As deliveries are made directly to customers and clients, this role requires an individual who is professional, personable, and committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect goods safely and efficiently using a company-provided Luton electric van
- Act as a professional ambassador for the business when attending client sites
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships
- Plan and manage delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries and collections
- Load and unload vehicles in accordance with health and safety procedures
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries
- Maintain organised warehouse storage areas and stock locations
- Complete delivery documentation and basic stock control records
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects
- Support general warehouse operations as required
Candidate Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points
- Previous experience driving Luton vans or similar light commercial vehicles is advantageous
- Experience within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or stores environment preferred
- Forklift Counterbalance Licence desirable, although training may be provided
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional and confident when interacting with clients
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with a flexible and proactive approach
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Occasional early morning or late evening deliveries may be required to meet client requirements
