A range of exciting teaching opportunities are available across Stockport, offering ECTs the chance to have a class of your own and complete the ECT induction programme.
As an ECT working long-term through Tradewind, you will receive the same salary as you would on a direct school contract, alongside holiday pay and the option to contribute to a pension scheme. Throughout the placement, you will also benefit from dedicated support from an experienced education consultant, available whenever guidance or advice is needed.
Our Stockport schools vary considerably in size, catchment area, curriculum approaches, behaviour systems and overall ethos. With first-hand knowledge gained through regular visits to each school, Tradewind can provide honest and detailed insight into each setting. Additionally, you can visit schools prior to placement, helping you gain a genuine feel for the environment before making any long-term career decisions.
ECT Positions – The Benefits
- We work with schools across all areas of Stockport including Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Brinnington, Heaton Chapel, Heaton Mersey, Heaton Norris, & Marple.
- You are provided with a unique opportunity to ensure a school is the right fit before making a long-term commitment. Many of the positions are offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with a strong track record of leading to successful permanent appointments.
- We have roles within both Local Authority maintained schools and Multi-Academy Trusts, providing excellent continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities and exposure to a wide range of teaching practices and school cultures.
