About the Role
Reed Early Years are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic nursery in Wakefield that is known for its nurturing environment and strong focus on high-quality early years education. They are looking to welcome a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to their team, someone who is committed to supporting young children’s development and creating an engaging, inspiring space for learning.
What we’re looking for
- A recognised Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting
- An understanding of play-based learning approaches
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A strong knowledge of quality Early Years practice
- A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
- A positive, team-focused attitude
Key responsibilities
- Take responsibility for a group of key children, ensuring their progress is observed, assessed, and supported
- Plan and deliver engaging play-based activities that support children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development
- Work as part of a team to create a positive and inclusive environment for all children
- Support children in their self-led play, offering guidance where appropriate to extend their learning
- Promote and maintain the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children at all times
- Engage in continuous professional development in line with nursery priorities
