Electrical Assembly Technician
Location: Norfolk, United Kingdom
Salary: £33,800 p.a.
Are you an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician looking for an opportunity to work on complex industrial equipment and automation systems? Our client is seeking a skilled individual to join their engineering team and support the assembly, installation, and testing of electrical and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installing electrical components and wiring in accordance with technical drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Installing pneumatic components, pipework, and associated equipment.
- Preparing and assembling cable routes, containment systems, brackets, and support structures.
- Connecting electrical circuits and control systems while ensuring compatibility and functionality.
- Carrying out pre-commissioning checks, testing, and inspections.
- Performing routine maintenance and system inspections.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs or component replacements where required.
- Supporting installation and commissioning activities at customer sites when necessary.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety standards and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Electrical Assembly Technician, Electrical Fitter, or similar role.
- Experience working with industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
- Competent in the use of electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and working practices.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of working within industrial environments.
- Relevant electrical qualifications, apprenticeship, or vocational training.
