Electrical Installation Lecturer – Temporary – 24 hours per week – Broxbourne – £32.51 to £34.61

We are looking to recruit an Electrical Installation Lecturer on a temporary basis at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students their students at their state-of-the-art facilities in the Broxbourne campus. About The Role
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting learners in developing their knowledge, practical skills and learning attitudes through the course. As the Electrical Installation Lecturer you will be setting the foundation, being the vital component to provide practical and theoretical lessons to students and contribute to a successful starting route in them entering the world of work!
This temporary role is offered starting 7th September, Monday to Friday with a total of 24 hours Teaching.
About You
The successful candidate will display a passion for teaching and enjoy interacting and engaging with students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues whilst using your own initiative. You will have great interpersonal and organisation skills and competent in using IT systems.
Ideally you will have teaching experience in this subject specialism working within an FE or HE environment and hold a professional qualification in Electrical Installation Work up to Level 3. Good level of Maths and English.
You may have prior experience of teaching in an education setting, which would be highly advantageous, but if you have practical Electrical Installation experience in the workplace where you have trained and nurtured less experienced team members or apprentices – we want to hear from you too!
We have successfully placed several ex-trade individuals in Lecturer positions within HRC’s Electrical department much to the benefit of the students.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues whilst using your own initiative. You will have great interpersonal and organisation skills, display a passion for teaching and enjoy interacting and engaging with students.

- In person ID and Proof of Address verification appointment at Ware/Broxbourne Campus
- Enhanced DBS application – administrated by HRG but at a cost of £65.20 (unless you already hold an enhanced DBS on the update service)
- 2 years of professional/character references taken and verified
- Several Online Training Modules sent out to you as stipulated by HRC
