Are you an Electrical Engineer or similar looking to kickstart your career in teaching and training, with no prior teaching experience required, and full support provided to gain teaching qualifications and develop into a qualified Lecturer within a leading further education college, alongside 45 days holiday?
This leading technical education and training provider delivering a wide range of vocational and apprenticeship programmes across engineering and advanced technical disciplines. The organisation works in partnership with major employers to develop industry-ready skills, supported by modern workshops, specialist facilities, and courses ranging from entry level through to degree-level study.
In this role, you will deliver Electrical Installations teaching and training across both practical workshop and classroom-based learning. You will plan and deliver lessons, assess learner progress, and support students in developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in the electrical and building services sector. You will also contribute to course development, assessment, and curriculum delivery, while working within a supportive and experienced team.
This role would suit an Electrical Engineer with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations, who is looking to transition into teaching.
The Role:
- Deliver Electrical Installations teaching across practical and theory sessions
* Plan lessons, schemes of work, and learning materials
* Assess learner progress and provide feedback and support
* Monitor and track learner achievement and outcomes
* Support curriculum delivery and course development
* Work towards gaining teaching qualifications (fully funded and supported)
The Person:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations
* Electrical Engineer or similar
* Interest in teaching, training, or developing others
* Commutable to Workington
