Our client, a prestigious organisation within the education and maritime sectors, is currently seeking an Electrical Marine Engineering Instructor to join their team at Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training modules within Electrical Marine Engineering as per the Training Plan and Standing Operating Procedures
- Ensure exceptional relationships with the customer and within the Marine Engineering Electrical training area
- Maintain and update training documentation and assess student coursework, providing performance feedback
- Utilise best practices to inform and direct quality and improvement activities across RN training
- Support the duty of care and progression of training during the delivery phase
- Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met or exceeded relating to the delivery and assessment of learning across RN training including simulated and synthetic programmes
- Work collaboratively with Learning & Development and other staff to support personalised learning approaches
- Assist other stakeholders with the implementation of modernised training courses within the establishment
Job Requirements:
- Experience in training delivery, ideally within an armed forces, defence, or RN context
- Understanding of training delivery, quality improvement, and teaching practices, including learning technology
- Proven ability to support continuous improvement and meet quality and performance targets
- Experience in Electrical Marine Engineering principles
- Competent electrical hand skills and proficiency in using IT within the workplace
- Ability to work collaboratively and establish outstanding relationships with customers
- Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- BPSS clearance eligibility
