Electrical Project Manager – Commercial Fit-Out

SALARY: £55,000 to £70,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Vehicle OR Allowance + Benefits
LOCATION: Primarily Site Based across London and the South East of England
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, with overtime as required to fulfil the role

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager with previous experience in M&E project delivery, electrical installations, and commercial fit-out environments across office, retail, and hospitality sectors.
As the Electrical Project Manager you will oversee programmes, subcontractor management, budgets, and site operations while ensuring all works comply with BS 7671 and building services standards. You will manage projects from mobilisation through to handover, maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality electrical contracting solutions.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Electrical Project Manager include:
- Managing Project Delivery: Overseeing electrical installation projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
- Coordinating Project Programmes: Developing and maintaining schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Leading Client Meetings: Chairing and attending progress meetings with clients, subcontractors, and design teams
- Monitoring Commercial Performance: Managing project budgets, variations, final accounts, and cost reporting
- Ensuring Technical Compliance: Reviewing electrical installations to ensure compliance with specifications and BS 7671 regulations
- Managing Health and Safety: Reviewing RAMS, conducting inspections, and ensuring all site activities comply with legislation
- Overseeing Subcontractor Management: Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and labour resources across multiple projects
- Supporting Site Teams: Mentoring supervisors and operatives while promoting high standards of project delivery
- Managing Project Handover: Overseeing commissioning records, O&M manuals, and certification documentation
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in Electrical Project Management within electrical contracting or M&E environments
- Proven experience delivering commercial fit-out, office fit-out, retail fit-out, or hospitality projects
- Electrical trade qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- SMSTS qualification
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, building services, and BS 7671 regulations
- Experience managing project budgets, subcontractor management, variations, and final accounts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Competent in interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and project programmes
- CSCS or ECS Manager card holder
- Full UK driving licence
DESIRABLE
- Experience across industrial, retail, residential, or public sector projects
- Knowledge of BMS, fire alarm, or emergency lighting systems
- First Aid at Work certification
