Electrical Wiring Technician – Control Panels / Special Purpose Machinery
- Location: Bishop's Stortford, easy access from the M11- Stansted Airport Junction
- Salary: Very competitive (DOE)

Employer overview:
A specialist engineering manufacturer of bespoke/special purpose machinery is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Wiring Technician to join their workshop build team.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and wire electrical control panels from drawings/schematics
- Machine wiring and electrical assembly of special purpose machinery
- Cable routing/looming, glanding, labelling, terminating and crimping
- Carry out continuity/insulation testing and basic fault-finding during build
- Work to high workmanship standards and follow H&S processes
Key skills & experience:
- Proven control panel wiring experience (industrial machinery environment)
- Confident reading electrical schematics/wiring diagrams
- Strong attention to detail: neat wiring, cable management, quality finishes
- Electrical qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds, 18 Edition) or time-served equivalent
- Desirable: experience around PLC panels/instrumentation
- Willingness to undertake occasional site work, including the electrical re-assembly of systems at client sites
