Nigel Wright are delighted to be supporting a leading global professional services firm in their search for an Engagement Business Partner to join their Newcastle-based finance team.

The Role
As an Engagement Business Partner, you will act as a key finance contact, supporting senior stakeholders across a portfolio of engagements. You will play a central role in managing financial performance, providing insight, and ensuring strong commercial governance.
This role offers a blend of financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and operational finance responsibilities within a fast-paced, high-performing environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to support decision-making
- Managing WIP, aged balances and project financials
- Supporting forecasting, revenue tracking and recovery
- Coordinating billing processes
- Analysing data to identify risks and opportunities
- Presenting financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Playing a key role in financial control and governance across engagements
The Person
- 2–3+ years’ experience in a finance role (AP, AR, billing, management accounts or similar)
- Strong communication skills – confident explaining financial information clearly
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Studying (or interested in studying) ACCA/CIMA desirable
