Our client is a growing technology business looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team from a North West base. This is a leadership role that combines people management with technical direction, ideal for someone who wants to shape how a good team builds and ships software.
You'll manage and mentor a team of developers, set the technical standards, and work closely with product and senior stakeholders to deliver the roadmap. Day to day, you'll own delivery across the team, guide architecture decisions, and keep quality high, while staying close enough to the code to make sound technical calls. It's a strong opportunity for an established lead or manager ready to take full ownership of a team in a modern, TypeScript-first environment.

What we're looking for:
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Strong technical background in TypeScript, as this is a TypeScript house
- Experience building and running cloud native systems, AWS/Azure/GCP
- A track record of delivering quality software in a modern, agile setting
- Good communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- A real interest in developing people and building strong teams
