he Role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician to join a well-established team based in Manchester. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong engineering background, and is looking for a position where they can make a real contribution to the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
You will be working as part of a wider engineering team, supporting the maintenance, installation, and improvement of equipment and systems. You will be expected to bring both technical expertise and a practical, problem-solving mindset to everything you do.

Key Responsibilities
•Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on engineering equipment and systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
•Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently, minimising disruption to operations.
•Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
•Conduct routine inspections and testing, maintaining accurate records of all work carried out.
•Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to ongoing engineering projects.
•Work in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
•Liaise with other departments and external contractors as required to support engineering activities.
•Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.
What We Are Looking For
•Proven experience in an Engineering Technician or similar hands-on engineering role.
•A relevant engineering qualification — HNC, HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
•Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled disciplines.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
•A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
•Based in or able to commute to Manchester.
