English Teacher – Maidstone Area
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: One Term initially (with potential for a permanent opportunity)

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a highly regarded independent school in the Maidstone area from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to become part of a supportive and ambitious school community.

The role will initially be offered on a temporary one-term basis, with the potential to develop into a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English across the relevant year groups, inspiring students to develop their confidence, creativity and understanding of the subject. The school is looking for someone who can deliver engaging lessons, build strong relationships with pupils, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent) or have relevant teaching experience
  • Have experience teaching English at KS3/KS4 level
  • Be passionate about English and committed to helping students achieve their potential
  • Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Be a supportive and collaborative member of the school community
