We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Harlow, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic QTS English Teacher. This Harlow school is committed to delivering high-quality English education, fostering a love of literature and language, and supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes across Key Stages.
Job Overview:
- This school caters for students aged 11-16.
- Full-time, Monday – Friday, English Teacher role.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students through creative and thought-provoking lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong attainment.
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school team.
- Contribute to curriculum development, intervention programmes and enrichment opportunities.

What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level across KS3 and KS4.
- A passion for English and the ability to engage, motivate and challenge learners.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
