We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 secondary school in Leicestershire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher. This is a full-time job to start next academic year to provide maternity cover until May 2027. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.
Job Description
- Delivering engaging and creative English lessons.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- Recent experience teaching English at secondary school level.
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
