As part of this growth, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Equities Product Specialist to work closely with portfolio managers and help further develop relationships with institutional investors globally.
This is a highly visible position sitting at the intersection of investing, client engagement and business development. Working alongside a well-established investment team, you will be responsible for communicating the fund's investment philosophy, thematic research and portfolio positioning to sophisticated institutional audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key representative of the equities business, articulating investment views, portfolio positioning and market outlooks to existing and prospective investors.
- Develop a deep understanding of the firm's investment process, thematic research framework and portfolio construction approach.
- Partner closely with portfolio managers to translate complex investment ideas into clear and compelling client messaging.
- Produce high-quality investor materials, including presentations, market commentary, thought leadership pieces and strategy updates.
- Support fundraising, client servicing and investor retention efforts through meetings, conferences and ongoing investor engagement.
- Provide informed perspectives on equity markets, sector developments and macroeconomic trends relevant to the investment strategies.
- Work collaboratively across investment, marketing and distribution teams to ensure consistent messaging and positioning.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of experience within asset management, hedge funds, investment research, portfolio management, strategy or product specialist functions.
- Strong understanding of equity investing and fundamental research, ideally with exposure to thematic, sector-focused or growth-oriented strategies.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with institutional investors and confidently representing investment teams in external-facing environments.
- Ability to discuss portfolio decisions and investment views within a broader macroeconomic and market context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating investor-facing content, presentations and thought leadership.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to build credibility across both investment and commercial teams in a fast-paced environment.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing alternative investment fund that has recently received a significant new allocation to its equities platform. The role offers direct exposure to senior investors, institutional clients and a highly differentiated investment strategy, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as the business continues to scale.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping how the firm's investment philosophy and investment views are communicated to the market while remaining closely connected to the investment process. It is an excellent opportunity for an investment professional looking to leverage their market expertise in a senior, externally-facing role without moving away from the investment side of the business.
