Our client is a growing institutional brokerage and trading business seeking an experienced Equity Derivatives Sales Trader to join its London-based team.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued expansion of the firm's equity derivatives franchise, leveraging existing client relationships while developing new business opportunities across institutional markets.
Working closely with trading and risk teams, the successful candidate will provide market insight, liquidity access, and execution services to a broad range of clients. Coverage may span listed and OTC equity derivative products, depending on the candidate's experience, expertise, and existing relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, hedge funds, asset managers, banks, and other market participants.
- Identify, originate, and execute new business opportunities across equity derivatives markets.
- Work closely with trading teams to deliver efficient execution and liquidity solutions for clients.
- Provide market colour, trade ideas, and product expertise across equity derivative products.
- Expand existing client relationships while actively developing new sources of revenue.
- Monitor market developments and communicate relevant opportunities to clients.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional client service.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the firm's equity derivatives platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Equity Derivatives Sales Trading, Equity Derivatives Sales, Delta One Sales Trading, or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of equity derivatives markets and products, including experience across listed and/or OTC instruments.
- Established relationships with institutional market participants and a track record of developing client business.
- Demonstrable history of revenue generation within institutional markets.
- Strong commercial instincts and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and business development skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
