ER Specialist

Our client, a dynamic leader in the field of HR solutions, is currently seeking an ER Specialist on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in managing employee relations across the UK, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies, and mitigating legal risks in adherence to UK employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high volume of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, investigation, and appeal matters.
  • Provide expert guidance on the application of company policy, contractual obligations, and UK employment law.
  • Oversee end-to-end case management to ensure timely progress and robust documentation.
  • Support managers in handling complex and sensitive conduct matters.
  • Align employee relations processes with the ACAS Code of Practice to minimise legal and reputational risk.
  • Produce and maintain dashboards and management information to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Design and deliver training and guidance materials to upskill line managers.
  • Develop best-practice templates and workflows to support consistency and capability across the HR team.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases in the UK.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidance, and best practices.
  • Experience advising and coaching managers on sensitive and high-risk matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability in facilitating training workshops on employee relations best practices.
  • Excellent management and investigation skills, with a focus on risk assessment and documentation quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills, with the ability to drive consistent decision-making.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for drafting clear outcomes, guidance notes, and training materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or similar fields; CIPD qualification to level 5 is beneficial.
