The Materials Systems Analyst will support spare parts operations by maintaining ERP system integrity, analysing and reporting data, identifying and correcting EDI transactional errors, and developing controls and automation to improve data quality and operational efficiency. The role combines operational administration, analytics and user support across the European spare parts function.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain system integrity through data alignment and enforcement of processing rules.
• Monitor ERP transactions and EDI networks to identify and correct errors.
• Analyse data to identify emerging error trends and propose/implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain automated controls and scheduled processes for recurring data tasks.
• Produce, maintain and manage suites of accurate reports for management and operational teams; present findings in clear, readable formats.
• Support order processing, logistics, planning and other parts-related teams with data and reporting.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and global projects; work closely with Global InfoSec as required.
• Maintain awareness of cultural differences when liaising across the international organisation.
Skills and Experience
• Degree-level (or equivalent) education in a technical or business subject preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (BaaN, Oracle, SAP or similar).
• Strong IT skills: confident with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel essential).
• Understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.
• Knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI, SAP BI or similar).
• Knowledge of EDI fundamentals would be advantageous, but not mandatory.
