We are now seeking an Estate Service Worker – someone to provide a professional and effective neighbourhood estates service. This includes the maintenance of communal areas within blocks, waste removal, gardening services, graffiti and fly tipping removal and environmental works, making every visit count for our customers.
You will be responsible for the effective management of waste across our sites, ensuring bin collections are completed on schedule and fly-tipping is promptly cleared to maintain clean, safe, and presentable environments. The role also includes general grounds maintenance to keep communal areas tidy, completing regular block and site inspections to identify issues and report any repairs required, and assisting with the clearance of void properties to help minimise rent loss and prepare homes for re-letting.
We’d like you to….
- Have a sound understanding of health and safety requirements and its importance in the workplace.
- Knowledge of grounds maintenance tasks and the appropriate equipment needed to carry them out safely and effectively.
- Good local knowledge of Gloucester would be an advantage, as the role involves working across sites throughout the city.
- Experience in using and maintaining petrol-powered machinery.
- Experience of driving larger vehicles as part of service delivery.
- Strong IT skills, with the ability to accurately record site visits and void clearances.
- Good customer service and communication skills to respond effectively to customer enquiries and requests.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team to deliver high-quality services.
It is essential to have a UK driving license for this role.
