  • Coordinate internal meetings to clarify project requirements.
  • Obtain accurate quotations for materials, specialist items, and outsourced manufacturing.
  • Produce comprehensive and professional client quotations.
  • Assist with procurement of outsourced products and specialist materials.
  • Follow up quotations with clients and negotiate where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and alternative design solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage future tender opportunities.
  • Prepare comprehensive handover documentation for the Production team on successful projects.
  • Monitor project costs alongside the Project Manager to ensure budgets are maintained throughout delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years' estimating experience within a bespoke joinery or woodworking environment.
  • Excellent understanding of joinery manufacturing techniques, construction methods, and materials.
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret technical and architectural drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and ERP software.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Professional, reliable, punctual, and well presented.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience).
  • 28 days' holiday including Bank Holidays.
  • Additional annual leave entitlement awarded for long service.
  • Paid birthday leave.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Complimentary healthy snacks and refreshments.
  • Beautiful countryside working environment within the South Downs.
  • Opportunity to join a friendly, talented, and ambitious team.
