Junior Expeditor / Supply Chain Coordinator

Are you looking to build a long-term career in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Purchasing?

We are recruiting for a Junior Expeditor to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with some previous supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or administration experience to develop their career within a supportive and highly experienced team.

This role is ideal for an ambitious individual who wants to learn from experienced professionals, gain exposure to a complex supply chain environment, and develop skills that can open doors to future opportunities within procurement and supply chain management.

As an Expeditor, you will play a key role in ensuring suppliers deliver materials and components on time, supporting operational and production requirements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery from suppliers
  • Proactively communicate with suppliers to monitor order progress and resolve delivery issues
  • Support the procurement team with day-to-day order management activities
  • Maintain accurate records and update order information within ERP systems
  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Identify potential supply risks and escalate concerns where appropriate
  • Provide regular updates on supplier performance and order status
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function


What We're Looking For

  • Some experience within purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, administration, customer service, or a related coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Experience using ERP systems would be advantageous but is not essential
