Do you have experience supporting students with special educational needs within a secondary school setting?
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for a range of secondary schools across Islington. These positions offer the opportunity to work closely with students requiring additional support, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
You will support students with a variety of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, and SEMH challenges. Working alongside teachers and SENCOs, you will provide both classroom and intervention support.
Key Responsibilities

Providing tailored support to students with SEND

Supporting students within mainstream lessons and small group settings

Implementing EHCP targets and support strategies

Building positive relationships with students and families
-
Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience

Monitoring and recording student progress
The Ideal Candidate
-
Previous experience supporting SEND students in a secondary setting
-
Understanding of a range of additional needs
-
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

Strong behaviour management skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
