Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your education career?
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of inclusive and well-established secondary schools across Haringey seeking skilled Teaching Assistants to join their support teams from September. These schools are looking for professionals who can make an immediate impact by supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to ensure students are fully engaged and supported throughout the school day. You may work with individuals, small groups, or whole classes, depending on the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students across a range of subjects and year groups
- Delivering targeted interventions to improve attainment and progress
- Assisting students with SEND, SEMH, and additional learning needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident supporting students with varying learning needs
- Calm, resilient, and proactive approach to behaviour management
- Passionate about helping young people succeed
