We're looking for a motivated NavCom Field Service Engineer to join a growing technical services team supporting a diverse range of complex communication and navigation systems. Important Security Requirement
This role requires Security Clearance (SC) eligibility. Applicants who do not currently hold SC Clearance, or who are not eligible to obtain SC Clearance, cannot be considered for this position.
Working Arrangements
- Fully onsite in Redhill during your probation period
- Hybrid working available following successful completion of probation
- Regular travel to customer sites as part of the role
- Full UK driving licence required
What You'll Be Doing
As a NavCom Field Service Engineer, you'll support the installation, maintenance, repair and commissioning of a range of communication and navigation systems, working independently and alongside experienced engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installation, maintenance and repair of maritime communication systems
- Supporting GMDSS equipment installations and servicing
- Working on navigation equipment maintenance and upgrades
- Installation and support of VSAT satellite broadband systems
- Conducting radio surveys and VDR/APT activities
- Supporting large-scale retrofit projects, bridge installations and integrated system deployments
- Delivering high levels of customer service whilst working onsite with clients
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- HNC, ONC, NVQ Level qualification or equivalent in an engineering, electrical, electronics or IT-related discipline
- Strong electrical, electronic or communications engineering knowledge
- A full UK driving licence
- A valid passport and willingness to travel when required
- The ability to pass medical requirements associated with field-based engineering work
- Previous experience within engineering, telecoms, communications, electronics, maritime or related technical environments
Experience with marine communications, navigation systems, VSAT or GMDSS equipment would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
