Field Service Engineer Permanent UK wide travel; regional patch with occasional overnight stays and on call Areas Available: Harlow (Relocation Package Available), Hull, Thetford, Birmingham.

What will you be doing? • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on gas engines and associated plant • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and carrying out repairs • Supporting plant uptime and minimising downtime across customer sites • Completing detailed service reports and technical documentation • Managing van stock, tools, and spare parts effectively • Attending breakdown callouts as part of a rota • Collecting and managing oil samples for analysis • Supporting junior engineers and contributing to team development
Where will you be doing it? Working for an established international energy business specialising in gas engine power solutions; operating across a regional UK patch in a customer facing role within industrial and energy generation environments, supported by a strong technical and operational team.
What will you need? • Experience working on gas engines; CHP, or similar ideal • Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills • Engineering qualification in mechanical, electrical, or similar • Full UK driving licence • Comfortable using IT systems for reporting and diagnostics • Willingness to travel and work away occasionally • Gas Safe qualification advantageous but not essential
