A fast-growing Financial Services/Fintech is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its London finance team. The business is expecting to double in size over the next 12 to 18 months, creating excellent exposure for someone making the move from practice into industry.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and CFO across reporting, analysis, MI, systems and projects. The team has a collaborative culture, regular lunches and events, and a strong focus on using AI to improve finance processes.
Duties
- Support technical accounting papers and memos under FRS 102, with IFRS exposure where applicable.
- Support monthly management accounts across group entities.
- Carry out data analysis and variance analysis to support decision-making.
- Assist with monthly MI reporting and board pack materials.
- Support daily revenue postings, cash activity reconciliation and wider finance processes.
- Assist with statutory audit processes, including audit support and query resolution.
- Identify opportunities to use AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and finance processes.
Ideal candidate profile
- ACA qualified or close to qualifying
- Experience gained in a top-tier accountancy practice, ideally a Top 20 firm.
- Financial services audit experience would be highly beneficial.
- Good understanding of FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Excellent Excel skills, with Power BI exposure advantageous.
- Strong academics, ideally including a degree from a leading university.
- Analytical, detail-focused and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- A critical thinker with an AI-native mindset and an interest in applying technology within finance.
Package/Benefits
- Salary: £55,000 – £60,000.
- Hybrid working: London office 3 days per week, with 2 days from home.
