Finance Analyst | Canterbury | Paying circa £55k
This is a highly visible role that combines financial analysis, business partnering, dashboard development and month-end accounting responsibilities. You'll work closely with operational leaders to understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive meaningful cost-saving initiatives.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining Excel reporting dashboards.
- Producing insightful analysis to support business performance and decision-making.
- Partnering with operational and manufacturing teams to understand costs, efficiencies and key performance drivers.
- Identifying and delivering cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Analysing manufacturing costs, labour efficiency, overheads and production variances.
- Assisting with month-end close, reconciliations and management reporting.
- Producing KPI reporting and performance analysis for senior management.
- Automating and improving financial reporting processes through the effective use of systems and data.
- Providing clear financial insight and recommendations to non-finance stakeholders.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Experience within a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Finance Business Partner role.
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, modelling and data manipulation.
- Experience creating dashboards in Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
- Manufacturing, engineering or product-based industry experience would be advantageous.
- A professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or active studies towards qualification would be beneficial.
