Leicester | Full Power BI Training | ACCA/CIMA Study Support | Bonus | Career Progression
If you're the type of person who doesn't stop at what happened but wants to understand why it happened, this could be the perfect next step. We're recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join a growing business in Leicester where you'll interrogate financial and operational data, uncover the root causes behind recurring issues and help shape smarter ways of working across the organisation. Best of all, if you've been wanting to learn Power BI but haven't yet had the opportunity, full on-the-job training is provided.
This is far more than a reporting role. You'll become a trusted partner to both finance and operational teams, using your analytical mindset to improve processes, influence decision-making and deliver real commercial value. Alongside ACCA/CIMA study support and genuine career progression, you'll join a collaborative business that invests in developing its people and celebrates success together.
What you will be doing
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Use Power BI reporting suites to investigate performance and uncover the root causes behind recurring issues (full training provided).
- Identify process bottlenecks that impact invoice processing, cash flow and operational efficiency.
- Investigate supplier, site and transactional data to understand where problems are occurring and recommend practical solutions.
- Monitor reporting trends and highlight exceptions that require further investigation.
- Work closely with finance and operational teams to improve processes and encourage best practice across the business.
- Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, helping influence positive change.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and add financial value.
- Produce insightful reports and dashboards to support business decisions.
What we need from you
- Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, or actively working towards your qualification.
- Previous experience within a finance role with strong analytical responsibilities.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Naturally curious with a passion for understanding the root cause behind problems rather than simply reporting them.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and build relationships across different departments.
- Previous Power BI experience is beneficial but not essential—full training will be provided.
Benefits
- ACCA/CIMA study support, including paid time off for exams.
- Full Power BI training and ongoing professional development.
- Annual company bonus, historically averaging between 10-15%.
- Genuine opportunities for progression within a business that actively promotes internal development.
If you're looking for a role where your analysis genuinely influences business decisions, your ideas are listened to and you'll continue developing both technically and professionally, we'd love to hear from you.
