An exciting and expanding SME is looking to recruit a motivated and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join its finance team in a varied and fast-paced role. You will become part of a collaborative finance function where learning, development, and long-term progression are genuinely encouraged. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth and accurate running of day-to-day finance operations while gaining exposure to a wide range of accounting activities.
You will be responsible for supporting key transactional processes including purchase and sales ledger activities, processing and checking invoices, assisting with credit control, reconciling supplier and customer accounts, and resolve queries. You will also play an active role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing expenses, helping with month-end tasks, and dealing with day-to-day finance queries.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance support role
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with sales, operations, and external contacts
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems and confident use of Microsoft Excel
