Finance Assistant
Nigel Wright are currently supporting a Prudhoe based organisation with their temporary Finance Assistant vacancy. This is initially a 3-6 month contract with the potential to move to a permanent contract.
The Role
As Finance Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:
- Manage sales ledger, raising invoices, chasing debt, allocating cash and handling queries
- Oversee purchase ledger, processing invoices, coding, reconciling supplier statements and assisting with payment runs
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Support month-end with basic accruals, prepayments and general close support
- Process expenses and company card transactions
- Investigate and resolve queries
- Assist with audit queries and general finance admin
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team as needed
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Prior experience in an accounts assistant role
- Confident across AP, AR and bank reconciliations
- Exposure to month-end basics
- Comfortable using ERP systems & Excel
- Strong attention to detail
