An established and growing multi-site business is looking for an Finance Assistant to join its friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a varied role with exposure to different areas of finance, while receiving ongoing training and support.
The Role
Working as part of a small finance team, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of several business entities. This is a varied position that will give you exposure to a wide range of accounting responsibilities and the opportunity to grow as your experience develops.
Duties will include:
- Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledger records
- Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Posting journals and supporting month-end activities
- Reconciling supplier statements and company card transactions
- Assisting with credit control and customer account queries
- Processing customer payments, refunds and invoicing
- Supporting VAT return preparation
- Managing finance email inboxes and responding to queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records and data
- Providing general administrative support to the finance function
- Assisting with process improvements and system developments
About You
