Finance Assistant

Day-to-day of the role:

Treasury & Working Capital:
- Prepare daily bank reconciliations.
- Manage online bank access and account maintenance.
- Assist with the preparation of the weekly short-term cash-flow forecast.

Taxation:
- Prepare the Group tax returns.

Financial Reporting and Control:
- Perform control checks on balance sheets on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and review the intercompany consolidation.

Group Reporting:
- Assist with the year-end audit process and preparation of Statutory accounts.

Management Accounts:
- Assist with the preparation of the management accounts for the Group Holding Companies.

Compliance:
- Prepare and submit monthly/annual National Statistic surveys.
- Review compliance with policies and processes.
- Assist with the insurance process.

Other Responsibilities:
- Support the wider Group Finance team with department deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance department at an accounts assistant level (AAT).
- Excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident in communicating with all levels of the business.
- Well-organised, flexible, and able to respond to changing deadlines and requests.
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in your work.
- Ability to work independently and support the wider team.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and data linking.
