Finance Assistant

cer Financial are working alongside a global product company, who are based in Hackney. They are seeking a Finance Assistant.

The responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:

1. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including processing invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders.
2. Monitor AP/AR inboxes and resolve customer and supplier queries.
3. Prepare weekly payment runs, process bank payments, and carry out credit control.
4. Raise customer accounts, manage credit insurance, and process invoice financing.
5. Complete weekly bank, credit card, and invoice finance reconciliations.
6. Track factory payments, raise purchase orders, and arrange trade finance where required.
7. Support month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting.
8. Maintain accurate financial records, manage invoice portals, and provide general finance administration.

The successful candidate will have:

1. Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
2. Experience processing invoices, payments, reconciliations, and credit control.
3. Understanding of month-end finance processes (accruals, prepayments, journals, reconciliations).
4. Experience using finance systems (Xero desirable) and good Excel/Microsoft Office skills.
