Finance Business Partner

Robertson Bell

A growing multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to support senior operational leaders across a portfolio of sites.

This is a genuine business partnering role, ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing decision-making and translating financial information into meaningful commercial insight. While a strong technical finance foundation is essential, success in this role will come from your ability to establish credibility, challenge constructively and become a trusted adviser to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis, reporting and variance commentary
  • Support month-end and year-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
  • Monitor income, expenditure and funding streams
  • Identify risks, opportunities and areas for improved financial performance
  • Provide financial challenge, support and guidance to non-finance stakeholders
  • Contribute to business cases, funding bids and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Proven Finance Business Partnering or management accounting experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Able to influence, challenge and communicate effectively with senior leaders
  • Experience within education, public sector, local authority or not-for-profit environments would be highly advantageous
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis capability
  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience

This role requires someone who is personable, proactive and commercially minded, with the confidence to work autonomously and build trusted relationships across multiple sites.

Hybrid working available, with a higher on-site presence initially to support stakeholder engagement and onboarding.
