The opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Birmingham based business, who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to sit at the heart of their business. This is a newly created bridge between the Finance Team and operational leadership, a role where your insight will be seen, heard, and acted upon.
You'll work closely with a highly regarded Financial Controller and Finance Director, taking real ownership of the monthly management accounts while building the business partnering skills that will define the next chapter of your career. Hybrid working is on offer, with a competitive salary of £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, with the freedom to delegate effectively and develop the team around you
- Own project WIP reporting and perform in-depth analysis of costs, revenue, and margin
- Play a meaningful role in supporting the audit process
- Oversee payroll and pension preparation, giving you broad exposure across the full finance function
- Build relationships with operational staff and collaborate with HR and business systems colleagues
- Translate complex financial information into clear, confident insight for non-finance stakeholders
Who we're looking for
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or a finalist actively working towards qualification
- Strong technical foundations in management accounting, ready to take the next step into business partnering
- A confident communicator, able to articulate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Naturally organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Commercial mindset and the ambition to influence at all levels
- Someone who takes pride in continuous improvement and thrives on variety
