Consortium Professional Recruitment
Finance Director
£130,000 – £150,000 + Executive Bonus + Benefits
Hull – Manufacturing
Our client is seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to work alongside the Managing Director in shaping the future direction of a substantial international manufacturing business. Finance is recognised as a key driver of business performance, with genuine influence across strategic planning, operational decision-making and long-term investment.
The Business Operating within an established international group, the business combines the pace and agility of a locally led organisation with the resources and stability of a larger global operation.
Manufacturing excellence, operational performance and continuous improvement remain central to its long-term strategy. The business continues to invest in its operations, people and capabilities, creating an environment where commercial decision-making, operational improvement and long-term growth are genuinely valued.
Where You'll Make an Impact Rather than simply reporting performance, you'll help shape it.
Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, you'll provide commercial insight, challenge assumptions, support strategic investment and ensure financial performance remains aligned with wider business objectives.
Your influence will extend across financial strategy, operational performance, capital investment, commercial decision-making and organisational development.
Alongside leading an established finance function, you'll continue to strengthen financial controls, improve business visibility and ensure finance remains a trusted partner across every area of the organisation.
Your Experience
We're interested in speaking with accomplished finance leaders who combine commercial judgement with operational credibility.
You may already be operating as a Finance Director, Divisional Finance Director or an experienced senior finance leader ready to step into a broader executive position.
You'll ideally bring:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Significant finance leadership experience within manufacturing, engineering or another operationally intensive environment.
- Strong commercial finance, business partnering, financial planning and forecasting capability.
- Experience supporting executive teams on investment decisions, business strategy and organisational growth.
- Financial control, cash management, statutory reporting and group reporting expertise.
- Experience operating within complex, multi-site or international businesses.
- A collaborative leadership style with the credibility to influence at board and operational level.
Exposure to acquisitions, ERP transformation, systems development or significant capital investment programmes would be advantageous.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to join an established international manufacturing business where finance is expected to influence decisions, challenge performance and help shape the organisation's future direction.
You'll inherit an established finance function, work alongside an experienced leadership team and have genuine influence over strategic planning, operational performance and long-term business growth.
For an ambitious Finance Director seeking broader organisational impact within a successful manufacturing business, this represents an outstanding long-term opportunity.
