Finance Director
Reports to: Group Chief Executive Officer
Location: Kings Langley
Salary: £130,000–£150,000 base, plus package (see below)
The Opportunity
A privately owned, multi-entity organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join its senior leadership team.
Operating within a complex group structure, the business is undergoing a period of growth, transformation, and strategic development, including acquisition activity and systems modernisation. This is a newly created role offering broad responsibility across both finance and IT.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and shaping the organisation’s technology landscape.
The Role
Finance
- Ownership of consolidated statutory reporting across multiple legal entities
- Lead all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisers, and banking partners
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Support senior leadership with corporate activity, including due diligence and integration
- Oversee cash flow, treasury, and working capital optimisation
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance function
IT
- Overall responsibility for IT strategy, infrastructure, and service delivery
- Oversight of core business systems and operational platforms
- Ownership of IT budget and supplier relationships
- Ensure effective data security, risk management, and continuity planning
- Lead system improvement and transformation initiatives
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Significant post-qualification experience within complex organisations
- Background within a leading accounting practice
- Proven experience in multi-entity consolidation and group reporting
- Strong knowledge of UK statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including building and managing teams
- Comfortable operating across both finance and IT
Desirable:
- Experience supporting growth, transformation, or acquisition activity
- Exposure to systems change or technology-enabled business improvement
- Experience within operationally complex or multi-site environments
Package
- Base salary: £130,000 – £150,000
- Annual bonus: Up to 15%
- Pension: 5% employer contribution

- Life assurance: 4x salary
- Annual leave: 25 days + bank holidays
- Car allowance: £6,500
