Finance Manager/Accountant (No. 1 Finance Person)
Location: East side of Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Due to growth, an established SME located on the East side of Harrogate is recruiting for a Finance Manager/Accountant. Reporting to their Director and working with their book-keeper, you will take responsibility of the company finances.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead finance professional within the business.
- Report directly to the Managing Director.
- Manage all accounting and finance activities.
- Work alongside and oversee/support the bookkeeper.
- Produce management accounts and financial reports.
- Design and improve financial systems and reporting processes.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial information to directors.
- Support business growth through effective financial management.
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced accountant with strong all-round accounting knowledge.
- Background in industry/commercial accounting
- Proficient in Xero.
- Comfortable working independently as the senior finance person.
- Able to implement and improve financial controls and reporting systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with Directors.
