Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently supporting a growing multi-academy trust in Worcestershire with the recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence financial decision-making across schools and contribute to their continued success.
Your new role
Working closely with Headteachers and Directors, you will play a key role in ensuring schools are well-supported through robust budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and compliance. As part of the central finance team, you will help ensure resources are used effectively to deliver the best possible outcomes for pupils.
- Produce monthly management accounts and provide insightful analysis
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans
- Finance business partnering for schools within your designated hub
- Support schools to monitor performance, manage risks and deliver correct actions
- Monitor payroll, income, grants and debt management processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, controls and audit requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified or part-qualified Accountant – QBEs will also be considered
- Experienced finance professional with strong management accounting, budgeting and business partnering skills
- Confident working with stakeholders and possess the ability to communicate financial information clearly and constructively
- Education/public sector background (advantageous but not essential)
- Proficient with MS Office and finance systems (Sage 200 highly desirable)
