Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a respected and established coastal business, renowned for delivering a high-quality experience to its customers while combining traditional values with a forward-thinking approach. This Finance Manager role is ideal for a driven finance professional looking to take ownership of a varied and hands-on position within a unique coastal environment. As Finance Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day finance operations, lead and support a small team, strengthen financial controls, and provide valuable commercial insight to support business performance and continued growth.
The responsibilities:
- Oversee the smooth running of the finance function and support the wider administration team
- Manage accurate financial records, reporting processes, and accounting systems
- Lead and develop a finance team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring
- Take ownership of accounts payable, receivables, and credit control activities
- Produce key management information and monitor financial performance indicators
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Maintain effective financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Manage payroll, banking processes, and supplier relationships
- Support senior leadership with commercial insight and operational decision-making
The candidate:
- Finance professional with experience in practice or early-stage industry experience
- Qualified Accountant, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, controls, and financial reporting
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
- Proactive, organised, and commercially minded with a hands-on approach
