As the Finance Manager based in Acton, London W3 you will be responsible for

This role is central to ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and high-quality financial insight that supports operational and strategic decision making across the UK & Ireland business. It reports to the General Manager (UK & Ireland) and is based at our Acton offices, this senior position includes responsibility for leading and developing a team of two staff members responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general finance administration and logistics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and forecasts;
  • Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet through timely reconciliations and effective financial controls;
  • Analysing financial performance, including detailed variance and trend analysis;
  • Identifying the underlying drivers of business performance, together with areas of risk and opportunity;
  • Preparing year-end financial statements and supporting reconciliations;
  • Oversight of cash flow management and financial controls
  • Managing tax compliance, statutory reporting and the annual external audit process;
  • Acting as the principal point of contact for the external auditors;
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and related reconciliations;
  • Preparing annual budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators;
  • Submitting corporation tax and other statutory returns;
  • Processing the monthly payroll;
  • Leading motivating and reviewing the work of the finance and logistics team to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance; and
  • Maintaining and improving financial systems and internal processes
  • Communicating effectively with the finance team, departmental managers, the General Manager and Directors.

Profile

  • A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA);
  • Proven experience in a similar role;
  • Experience of monthly Group reporting and working to demanding deadlines;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with modern accounting or ERP systems;
  • Excellent analytical ability, together with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to communicate confidently with senior management, departmental managers, customers and external advisers;
  • Sound interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills;
  • Experience of preparing and managing budgets;
  • A demonstrable commitment to teamwork and professional excellence;
  • High ethical and professional standards; and

Job Offer

  • Salary £65,000 – £75,000
  • Free car parking
  • 20 days holiday
  • Hours are 08:30 – 17:30
  • Role is based in the office 5 days a week
