We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to elevate a financial performance for an Independent Branding Agency. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll shape financial processes, improve commercial insight, and ensure our projects are delivered profitably.
You’ll work closely with our Managing Director and Fractional Finance Director, acting as the bridge between Finance and the wider agency including Client Services. With support from a full-time Finance Assistant, you’ll own the day-to-day financial operations while driving smarter, more efficient ways of working.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and variance analysis
- Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Own short-term cashflow forecasting
- Prepare VAT, PAYE, and statutory filings; liaise with external accountants
- Use automation and modern tools to streamline processes
- Analyse time reports to track utilisation, recoverability, and profitability
- Maintain performance dashboards for leadership
- Support pricing and rate card reviews
- Partner with teams to ensure accurate project budgeting and reconciliation
You are someone who loves improving systems, collaborating across teams, and making finance accessible and empowering.
- CIMA/ACCA qualification (or part-qualified/QBE)
- Experience in an agency environment
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of time-based billing
- Excellent Excel and Google Workspace skills
- Confidence with job costing systems
- Brilliant time-management and exceptional attention to detail
