Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Transformation Lead to drive a critical finance transformation programme. This role combines Global Process Ownership with Programme Delivery Leadership, requiring a hands-on professional who can establish process governance frameworks while driving delivery across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping finance processes, leading business analysis activities, and ensuring programme milestones are achieved through effective planning, stakeholder management, and collaboration with internal teams and third-party partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Transformation Global Process Owner (GPO)
- Establish and maintain the Finance Global Process Owner (GPO) framework, governance model, and process catalogue.
- Develop and implement end-to-end finance process mapping standards and documentation.
- Define process ownership structures, controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Lead workshops and working sessions to capture current and future-state processes.
- Produce high-quality process documentation, governance materials, presentations, and decision papers.
- Manage and coach two Finance Business Analysts, ensuring delivery of project priorities and quality outputs.
- Drive process standardisation and alignment across finance functions and transformation initiatives.
Finance Transformation Delivery Lead
- Develop, maintain, and manage the integrated programme plan using inputs from project teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against milestones, risks, dependencies, and critical deliverables.
- Drive programme execution to ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines.
- Prepare regular programme status reports and governance updates for senior leadership and Design Authority forums.
- Facilitate decision-making by producing high-quality governance and steering committee materials.
- Collaborate closely with third-party solution providers and implementation partners to ensure delivery alignment and successful execution.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, ensuring priorities remain aligned to programme objectives.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across Finance, Technology, Operations, and external partners.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading Finance Transformation programmes within complex organisations.
- Strong background operating as a Global Process Owner (GPO) or Finance Process Lead.
- Demonstrable experience establishing process governance frameworks, process catalogues, and end-to-end process maps.
- Excellent programme and project management skills, including planning, dependency management, and governance reporting.
- Experience managing business analysts and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Experience working with third-party vendors, system integrators, and implementation partners.
- Ability to operate strategically while maintaining a hands-on delivery approach.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Finance transformation enabled by ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar).
- Experience operating within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Professional qualifications in Finance, Project Management, or Change Management are advantageous.

- Documented current and future-state finance process maps.
- Managed and coordinated delivery of finance transformation workstreams.
- Maintained integrated programme plan and governance reporting.
- Successful stakeholder engagement and Design Authority approvals.
