A global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Polish speaking Financial Accountant to join its UK finance team. This is a key role within a long-established international group, offering exposure to cross-border operations, modern systems and a collaborative, people-focused culture.
The position is based in Banbury, with 1-2 days per week on-site once settled, and includes occasional international travel to European sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow
- Manage the general ledger and record daily financial transactions
- Perform reconciliations and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
- Act as the main contact for internal and external audits
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow monitoring
- Analyse financial data to identify improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Provide reporting and insight to support management decision-making
About You
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role (manufacturing experience beneficial)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations and month-end processes
- Confident in using accounting systems (SAP Business One experience is an advantage)
- Excellent Excel and data-analysis skills
- High attention to detail with a structured, accurate approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proactive problem-solver who can manage deadlines and work independently
- Comfortable working in an international environment with occasional travel
- Fluent Polish speaker, with a good level of English (written and spoken)
