Michael Page are supporting a long-standing client based in Leeds in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their technical accounting team. This role is responsible for delivering financial information and managing external reporting processes, including complex areas such as debt, FX, and consolidations. Description
In this busy and varied Financial Accountant role, you'll be expected to:
- Prepare and review financial reports to ensure compliance with statutory and organisational standards
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes within the organisation
- Monitor key financial metrics and offer recommendations for improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies and procedures
- Provide support during audits, liaising with external auditors as required
Profile
We're looking for:
- ACA/ ACCA or equivalent
- Professional experience of working within a high-volume workload Finance function
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Strong across all MS Office applications, with at least intermediate Excel skills.
- Proven ability of working to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
