An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a growing organisation on an initial 6 month fixed term contract for an immediate start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant to play a key role during a period of finance transformation, supporting year-end audit activity, strengthening financial controls and improving reporting processes across the business.
You'll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact whilst enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote role.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance team, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a key contact for external auditors and coordinating audit requirements.
- Preparing and reviewing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Reviewing and improving balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigating and resolving historic balance sheet items.
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and compliance requirements.
- Supporting finance transformation and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders across the business.
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates who are:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Currently working within audit, accounts or financial reporting
- Technically strong, with a sound understanding of statutory reporting and financial controls.
- Experienced in supporting external audits and maintaining strong balance sheet controls.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience of accounting or ERP systems.
