Senior Financial Accountant
Hybrid Working | Permanent | ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
An established and growing UK business is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a broad and highly visible role, combining technical accounting, statutory reporting, audit management, treasury oversight and team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of consolidated group accounts and statutory financial statements.
- Manage the year-end audit process and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Oversee tax, VAT and statutory compliance reporting.
- Deliver cash flow, treasury and working capital analysis.
- Provide technical accounting expertise across UK GAAP and IFRS matters.
- Support acquisition accounting and wider finance projects.
- Lead and develop a small finance team while driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience managing audits and statutory reporting processes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
